Does it cost anything to use Omtrips as a traveler?

Accepted Answer

No. Browsing, sending inquiries, applying to jobs, and posting in the travel buddies community are all free. Omtrips never charges travelers a booking fee.

How do I book a retreat?

Accepted Answer

When a retreat has booking enabled, you reserve your spot by paying a deposit of at least 10% of the retreat price through our secure checkout, or the full amount if you prefer. You pay the remaining balance directly to your host before the retreat, following the instructions they give you. If a retreat doesn't have booking enabled, you book directly with the host: send an inquiry through the listing and they'll take it from there.

What if I need to cancel?

Each retreat sets its own cancellation policy, chosen from the standard policies on our cancellation page and shown clearly on the listing before you book. The policy governs the deposit you paid on Omtrips; any balance you paid directly to the host is covered by their own terms, so it's worth confirming those with them too.

How do I know listings are trustworthy?

Every listing is reviewed by a real person before it goes live. Retreat hosts share their experience and confirm their venue before publishing, and anyone selling a business verifies ownership first. We also make it easy to report anything that doesn't look right, and we act on reports quickly.

Who is Irie?

Irie is our travel concierge. Ask about destinations, retreats, how booking works, or request a travel astrology reading. Irie is available on nearly every page of the site.

Can I book stays, jobs, or businesses through Omtrips?

Accepted Answer

Retreats are the only bookings made through Omtrips. For stays, studios, and businesses for sale, you connect directly with the lister through the listing page. Job applications go straight to the employer who posted the role, and we ask every employer to respond to each application within 7 days, even when the answer is no.

How do travel buddies work?

Accepted Answer

Post your trip, your dates, and what kind of company you're looking for, and reply to posts that speak to you. Travel buddy posts are free and published publicly on the site, so share only what you're comfortable making public. The community is 18+, and reporting and blocking tools are built in.

What does it cost to list?

Every listing is a one-time $2.99 USD payment: retreats, stays, studios, job posts, and businesses for sale. Your listing stays live for one full year, and travel buddy posts are always free. Full details live on our pricing page.

When am I charged?

Accepted Answer

Only once your listing is approved. When you submit, your payment method is authorized but not charged. If we approve your listing, the payment completes and you go live. If we decline it, the hold is released and you are never charged at all.

What is the Unlimited membership?

Unlimited is $9.99 USD for a year of unlimited listings in every paid category. It never renews automatically: we email you before it expires, and you decide whether to renew. We never store your payment details or charge you without your say-so. And during our launch, codes shared on our social channels unlock Founding Membership: the same unlimited listings at half price, forever, with no renewal ever.

Does Omtrips take a commission?

Only if you choose to take retreat booking deposits through Omtrips. That's entirely optional: with deposits on, we charge 5% of the retreat price on confirmed bookings, deducted from the deposit along with payment processing fees. If a guest finds you on Omtrips but books with you directly, no commission applies. Directory listings, stays, studios, jobs, and businesses for sale are never charged commission.

Can I list a plant medicine retreat?

Yes, plant medicine retreats are welcome on Omtrips, as long as the practice is not illegal in the country where your retreat takes place. Two more things to know: these listings may go through additional verification before publishing, including testimonials and a video call with our team, and your retreat price, and any deposit taken through Omtrips, may not include the cost of the plant medicine itself. How do payouts work?

If you take retreat deposits through Omtrips, your payout becomes eligible early in the week following your retreat's start date, sent by the method you choose: PayPal, Wise, Venmo, or bank transfer. Your payout is the deposit minus our commission, credit card processing fees, and any bank transfer or currency conversion fees.

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any listing fee or membership fee is fully refundable within 14 days of being charged, for any reason. Just email namaste@omtrips.com from your account's email address. And if we decline your listing at review, you are never charged at all.

What happens after my listing's year is up?

Accepted Answer

We email you before it expires. Renewing costs the same one-time listing fee at the current price, and nothing ever renews automatically. If you'd rather let it lapse, it simply comes off the site.

Question 17

Can I take my listing down for a while?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it's free. Pausing hides your listing without touching your paid year, and you can republish any time before it expires at no extra charge. Deleting is different: it's permanent, and the listing fee isn't refunded or transferred, so pause if you think you might be back.
